Assessment notes
This page is educational review copy. Clinic scar-care scope and any available procedures remain pending medical and operational confirmation.
A considered plan
Your history and priorities come before choosing a procedure.
Share medicines, allergies, previous reactions and healing problems. Ask which pain-management options, if any, are appropriate for the proposed procedure. Sensation varies with the procedure, area and individual.
Ask about procedure-specific redness, swelling, pigment changes, infection risk and aftercare. Recovery and risks vary. Discuss travel, events and how to contact the treating team if a concern develops.
Improvement varies and complete scar removal cannot be promised. The number and timing of visits should be individualized, not assumed to follow an annual treatment schedule.
Secondary scar guide
Classification, urgency and clinic scope require clinical review.
A hypertrophic scar remains within the boundary of the original wound, while a keloid grows beyond it. Assessment should confirm the distinction. Goals may include reducing symptoms, height or visibility; recurrence can occur, and clinic treatment scope remains pending review.
Burn scars can be flat, raised or tight. Suspected contracture, restricted movement or functional concerns require clinical review; this site does not imply that the clinic manages every burn scar.
Chickenpox can leave depressed scars. Assessment should consider depth, distribution, skin tone and other causes of textural change before options are discussed.
