How we do it at Glassy Skin Clinic
This is Glassy’s treatment programme. For the product itself, learn about Juvelook Volume (Lenisna). Read our GLT™ approach.
Who is it for?
It may suit you if you have volume loss, such as:
Fine lines and crepey skin under the eyes are treated with GLT™ Collagen Healer with Juvelook instead.
Downtime, aftercare and side effects
Who should not have it?
Based on an expert consensus on PDLLA, this treatment isn't suitable if you are pregnant, have an active infection or inflammation in the area, or have a permanent filler in the same area and layer. Breastfeeding and autoimmune conditions call for extra caution. [8] Puffy eye bags from protruding fat may respond better to eyelid surgery. [5] If you have had an autoimmune disease since childhood, such as Behçet's disease, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, GLT™ Collagen Volume Lifting with Juvelook Volume isn't the right treatment for you. Tell us about past reactions to hyaluronic acid or polylactic acid products.
Before you book: when you send a request through our booking form, please tell us your medical history, the medicines you take, and any side effects from past skin treatments at other clinics. This lets us plan as many of the treatments you want as possible on the day of your visit, and helps us protect your safety.
GLT™ Collagen Healer or GLT™ Collagen Volume Lifting: what's the difference?
GLT™ Collagen Healer with Juvelook improves the quality of your skin, while GLT™ Collagen Volume Lifting with Juvelook Volume restores volume you have lost. Both use a Juvelook collagen stimulator made by Vaim, and both are performed by a board-certified dermatologist with GLT™ (Gentle Layered Treatment). The difference is the product, the layer and the tool.
| GLT™ Collagen Healer with Juvelook | GLT™ Collagen Volume Lifting with Juvelook Volume | |
|---|---|---|
| Goal | Better skin quality: glow and a smoother, glass-skin texture | Restoring lost volume |
| Typical concerns | Dry skin, rough texture, fine lines, dullness | Hollows and volume loss |
| Product | Juvelook | Juvelook Volume (sold as Lenisna in some markets) |
| Particle size and layer | Smaller particles (20–40 µm, per the manufacturer), placed in the dermis | Larger particles (40–80 µm, per the manufacturer), placed in the deep dermis and fat layer |
| Tool | Hycoox 9-needle injector | Blunt cannula, designed to reduce discomfort |
| Areas | Full face (except the eye area), plus the under-eye area for fine lines and dry, crepey skin (0.5 cc, shallowest skin layer) | Usually under-eye hollows and tear trough together with the mid-cheek; also temples and smile lines |
| Typical plan | Even one session gives results. For the best results, 3 or more sessions, 1 to 3 months apart | Even one session gives results. For the best results, usually 3 sessions, 6 to 12 weeks apart |
| Massage | Optional; no daily home routine | Right after treatment, a nurse trained by our dermatologists shows you how to massage the area firmly for 1–2 minutes, and your dermatologist checks once more that you're doing it correctly; no daily home routine |
| Downtime | In our clinic's experience, most patients can wear makeup right after treatment and go back to work the same day | In our clinic's experience, most patients can wear makeup right after treatment and go back to work the same day, including after under-eye treatment with a cannula |
In our clinic's experience, the Healer doesn't cause swelling, because the product is placed very close to the skin surface. The Hycoox injector has 9 fine needles, so you may see small red marks for 1–3 days (up to 1–7 days if you have sensitive skin). After Volume Lifting, swelling lasts 3–7 days on average; in some people it can last 10–14 days. In our clinic's experience this is part of the normal response as your skin starts building collagen. Bruising is uncommon, and if it happens, it usually clears within about 2 weeks. After either treatment, avoid facial massage at other salons or spas for at least 2 weeks. Pressure and friction can temporarily disrupt the skin barrier.
Which one do I need?
Can I have both?
Yes, and both can be done on the same day. Many patients have both texture concerns and volume loss, and the two treatments go into different layers. The order doesn't matter medically. Because the Healer, with its 9-needle injector at the skin surface, can feel more uncomfortable than Volume Lifting, our clinic usually does the Healer first, putting your comfort first. For Volume Lifting, the local anesthetic injection at the cannula entry point stings only briefly, for about a second, and in our clinic's experience most patients describe it as having little discomfort. Your dermatologist will confirm at consultation whether you need one or both, and how to plan them around your visits to Seoul.
Why sessions matter: one session already stimulates collagen, which suits patients who visit Seoul once or twice a year. Think of it like exercise. One workout stimulates the muscle, but visible growth needs regular sessions. Collagen stimulation works the same way. With Volume Lifting, in principle, your own collagen starts to form from about one month after treatment and keeps building over the second and third months and beyond.

Your questions
Frequently asked questions
What is GLT™ Collagen Volume Lifting with Juvelook Volume?
It is Glassy Skin Clinic's volume program. A board-certified dermatologist places Juvelook Volume, a collagen stimulator made by Vaim in Korea (sold as Lenisna in some markets), in the deeper layers with a blunt cannula. It is used for under-eye hollows and the tear trough, usually together with the mid-cheek, and for temples, sunken cheeks and smile lines.
Does it hurt?
The local anesthetic injection at the cannula entry point stings briefly, for about a second. In our clinic's experience, most patients describe Volume Lifting as having little discomfort. We don't use sedation, so you stay awake and your dermatologist can adjust as you go.
How many sessions do I need?
Even one session gives results, which suits patients who visit Seoul once or twice a year. For the fullest result, we usually plan 3 sessions, 6 to 12 weeks apart. Results build gradually: in principle, your own collagen starts to form from about one month after treatment and keeps building over the second and third months and beyond.
Do I need to massage my face at home?
No. Right after treatment, a nurse trained by our dermatologists shows you how to massage the area firmly for 1–2 minutes, and your dermatologist checks once more that you're doing it correctly. There is no daily home-massage routine like Sculptra's 5-5-5 rule. Please avoid facial massage at other salons or spas for at least 2 weeks.
Can I go back to work the same day?
In our clinic's experience, most patients can wear makeup right after treatment and go back to work the same day, including after under-eye treatment with a cannula. Swelling lasts 3 to 7 days on average; in some people it can last 10 to 14 days. In our clinic's experience this is part of the normal response as your skin starts building collagen. Bruising is uncommon and usually clears within about 2 weeks.
Can I have it on the same day as GLT™ Collagen Healer?
Yes. The two treatments go into different layers, so they can be done on the same day. The order doesn't matter medically, but we usually do the Healer first because it can feel more uncomfortable, putting your comfort first.
When can I drink alcohol, exercise or use a sauna after Volume Lifting?
At our clinic, we recommend waiting 2 weeks before drinking alcohol, doing exercise that makes you sweat, or using a sauna, jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouse) or hot bath. The earliest is 1 week after treatment, but after Volume Lifting, 2 weeks is better. Your dermatologist will tell you if you need different aftercare.
Can I have it if I've had hyaluronic acid filler?
At our clinic, we don't place Juvelook Volume in an area where hyaluronic acid filler still remains, whenever it was done. Both sit in the upper fat layer, so swelling that normally settles in 3–7 days can last 1–3 months or longer. If you've had filler at any time and it seems to have gone, we first check the area by palpation (feeling the area) or ultrasound; if none remains, we treat only with your signed consent that, because of the past filler, swelling may last 2–4 weeks or more longer than usual. If your filler was dissolved, please wait at least 6 months. Read more: Juvelook Volume after filler.
Do I need to stop aspirin, blood thinners or omega-3 before treatment?
You don't need to stop omega-3. Because Juvelook Volume goes into the upper fat layer, we ask you to stop aspirin or blood thinners 1 week before treatment if possible; if you need to keep taking them, contact us at least 1 month before your visit. Never stop a prescribed medicine without checking with the doctor who prescribed it.
I have a wedding or big event. When should I have Volume Lifting?
Ideally about 1 month before your event, and 2 weeks before at the latest. At 2 weeks after Volume Lifting, a little swelling may still remain. Tell us your event date when you book, and we'll plan around it.
How should I sleep after Volume Lifting?
Swelling lasts at least about 3 days, so if you can, sleep on your back for at least 3 nights. Turning onto your side in your sleep isn't a big problem.
Let’s start with you.
