How Many Juvelook Sessions Do You Need, and How Far Apart?
Dr. Judy Hong Jin Joo, MD · Founder & Medical Director · Board-certified dermatologist (Korea)

Even one Juvelook session gives results, and repeated sessions build on it: the manufacturer's standard course for Juvelook and Juvelook Volume is three sessions. Vaim's 2023 English brochure spaces them about 1 month apart, while Vaim's UK partner lists 6 weeks for Juvelook and 8 weeks for Lenisna (Juvelook Volume). At our clinic, Juvelook is planned as 3 or more sessions 1–3 months apart, and Juvelook Volume as usually 3 sessions 6–12 weeks apart.

How many Juvelook sessions do you need?
01Even one session gives results, and a course of about three sessions builds on them. A single session is a reasonable choice if you can only visit Seoul once or twice a year. For the fullest result, sessions are repeated as the manufacturer recommends. Three sessions is the standard course in Vaim's published materials for both Juvelook and Juvelook Volume. [1][2]
Three is a starting point, not a fixed rule. Vaim's UK partner notes that the number of sessions should be adjusted to each patient's biological response. [2] At our clinic, we plan 3 or more sessions for Juvelook, 1–3 months apart, and usually 3 for Juvelook Volume.
If you're new to the treatment, start with what Juvelook is and our Juvelook treatment page.
How far apart should Juvelook sessions be?
02Vaim's published materials space Juvelook about 1 month to 6 weeks apart, and Juvelook Volume about 1 month to 8 weeks apart. They don't all give the same numbers, so here they are side by side:
| Vaim English brochure (2023) | Vaim's UK partner (2025) | |
|---|---|---|
| Juvelook course | 3 sessions, 1 month apart | 3 sessions, 6 weeks apart |
| Juvelook Volume (Lenisna) course | 3 sessions, 1 month apart | 3 sessions, 8 weeks apart |
| Juvelook maintenance | After 6 months to 1 year | 1–1.5 years |
| Juvelook Volume maintenance | After 1 year | 1–2 years |
| How long results last (manufacturer claim) | Juvelook 12–18 months; Lenisna 18–24 months | Juvelook up to 16 months; Lenisna up to 24 months |
The ranges differ, but the pattern is the same: a short course, then maintenance. The durations are the manufacturer's (Vaim's) and its partner's claims, not promises. How long your results last depends on your age, skin and lifestyle.
Why are sessions spaced weeks apart?
03Because Juvelook works by helping your skin build its own collagen, and that takes time. Each session starts a slow repair process. The next session builds on the collagen that has formed since.
Think of it like exercise. One workout stimulates the muscle, but visible growth needs regular sessions. Collagen stimulation works the same way: one session starts the process, and repeated sessions build on it.
In an animal study of PDLLA filler in aged mice, researchers measured the skin at 2, 4 and 8 weeks after injection. Collagen and elastin levels were highest at 8 weeks, the last time point measured. [3] This was an animal study in mice, so it can't tell us exactly how human skin behaves, or what happens after 8 weeks. But it fits why the manufacturer's intervals are measured in weeks, not days.
That is also why results are gradual. Vaim's UK partner describes visible results starting from about 15 days. [2] In our clinic's experience, in principle, your own collagen starts to form from about one month after treatment and keeps building over the second and third months and beyond.
How we schedule sessions at Glassy Skin Clinic
04| Juvelook (GLT™ Collagen Healer) | Juvelook Volume (GLT™ Collagen Volume Lifting) | |
|---|---|---|
| Number of sessions | 3 or more | Usually 3 |
| Interval at our clinic | 1–3 months | 6–12 weeks |
| Typical pattern | Korean residents: usually monthly. International patients: up to 3 months apart to fit their trips | 6–12 weeks, depending on skin type |
Our intervals are our clinic's plan. They sit within or slightly beyond the manufacturer's ranges above, so the course can fit around your travel. Board-certified dermatologists perform every session with GLT™ (Gentle Layered Treatment) and review how your skin responded before the next one.
Full-face Juvelook (GLT™ Collagen Healer with Juvelook — Essential, 4 cc) is ₩495,000 per session, or ₩450,000 per session as a 3-session course, including 10% VAT. See all options on our Juvelook price page.
How do I plan Juvelook sessions if I live abroad?
05Even one session gives results, so a session on each trip to Seoul is a reasonable plan. At our clinic, international patients can space Juvelook sessions up to 3 months apart.
- Tell us your travel dates before your first session. We plan the whole course, not just the first visit.
- Juvelook Volume needs 6–12 weeks between sessions at our clinic. If you plan both products, we'll map out which one fits each trip.
- Results build over weeks, so the first session doesn't need to fall right before an event.
- We check in the day after every treatment (our "Happy Call"), and you can send us a photo via WhatsApp or Instagram if anything worries you after you fly home.
- If your trips will be further apart than 3 months, mention it at consultation. Your dermatologist will explain what that means for your plan.

Can I continue my sessions at a clinic in my home country?
06You can, but we can't tell you whether it will give the same result. Treatments with the same name can differ in the doctor's technique, the energy used, the amount injected, the needle size and the depth.
Side effects in brief
07After Juvelook Volume (GLT™ Collagen Volume Lifting), swelling lasts 3–7 days on average and can last 10–14 days in some people; in our clinic's experience this is part of the normal response as your skin starts building collagen. Bruising is uncommon and usually clears within about 2 weeks. Nodules, who shouldn't have Juvelook and other side effects are covered in Juvelook lumps and nodules and on our Juvelook treatment page.

Frequently asked questions
Is one Juvelook session enough?
Even one session gives results, so a single session is a reasonable choice if you can only visit Seoul once or twice a year. For the fullest result, the manufacturer recommends repeated sessions; at our clinic, that means 3 or more sessions 1–3 months apart. Results build gradually over weeks rather than appearing overnight.
Can I do Juvelook sessions closer than a month apart?
The manufacturer's published materials don't list intervals shorter than about 1 month. At our clinic, we space Juvelook sessions 1 to 3 months apart and Juvelook Volume sessions 6 to 12 weeks apart, so each session has time to work before the next.

How often do I need Juvelook maintenance?
Vaim's 2023 English brochure suggests retreatment after 6 months to 1 year for Juvelook and after 1 year for Lenisna (Juvelook Volume). Vaim's UK partner gives 1–1.5 years and 1–2 years. Your dermatologist will suggest timing based on your skin.
I can only visit Seoul once or twice a year. What then?
Even one session gives results, so a session on each trip is a reasonable plan. If you want the fullest possible result, repeated sessions 1–3 months apart are ideal, so tell us your travel dates and we'll plan around them.
